  Left to right: Tami Dawson, Susanne Sims, Monica Schwartz Tami Dawson, photographer, graduated from the School of Communication Arts in Minneapolis and opened Photo Resource Hawaii, one of the island's first stock photo agencies, in 1985. The agency now represents island photographers whose work is sold worldwide. More than 120 cultural and environmental photos from the agency's library are featured in In the Wake of Dreams (Whalesong, 1993). Tami's own photography has been published worldwide in publications such as National Geographic Traveler, Sunset, Spirit of Aloha. She also works on assignment. For more than 20 years, Tami has been experimenting with various forms of alternative healing. She is a graduate from and assistant instructor at Dr. Ruey Ryburn's Sacred Path Healing School in Honolulu. Tami has a depth of understanding of the healing process and the need for balance between complementary and traditional medicine. Together with her husband Fodiaba, she offers a healing practice integrating astrology with energy healing. Tami is the mother of two. Monica Schwartz, photographer, specializes in portraiture in natural settings. She was born in Italy and spent much of her life traveling the world before settling in Hawai'i. One of her greatest pleasures is capturing the quiet beauty, exquisite people and breathtaking splendor of the islands. Monica is activated in third degree Reiki and has studied sound therapy and Pranic Healing in Italy and shamanic healing techniques in Hawai'i. She is also a master practitioner of Interior Alignment™, which focuses on balancing personal, home and land energies. Blending her experience and training in the various disciplines and teachings, Monica founded and developed Shapeshifter, an educational program designed to help people rediscover who they really are in order to live in balance and union with the natural world and universe.
